It’s Wednesday with means its time for my weekly column to be posted. This week, I will be recapping Punk/Cena/McMahon storyline over the past few weeks and I will be giving my opinions on it. This storyline has been the hottest topic in the wrestling world today and even over the last few years. Ok so I hope you enjoy this. So, this Is an all recap of the storyline, a little different that usual columns you would see.

Content from, are included in this post. (Just the reports in the post)

On the June 27th addition of Raw, the show ended with very powerful words from CM Punk that drove the Internet Wrestling Community and old attitude era fans crazy. CM Punk came out on that Raw with a Stone Cold T-Shirt on him; he interrupted John Cena vs R-Truth in their tables match causing Truth to defeat Cena by putting him through a table. Punk, at ringside grabbed a microphone and walked up to the centre of the stage. He started talking, he stated that he doesn’t dislike or hate John Cena, Punk then said he likes John Cena more than a helluva lot people in the back. Punk then rambles on that he is the best in the world, and hates the fact that Cena is built by WWE as the best. Then Punk calls Cena an ass kisser, Punk claims he is as good as Hulk Hogan was at kissing Vince’s ass, then says he is unsure whether or not he is as good as Dwayne. Punk them looked at the camera and says ‘’oops, I’m breaking the fourth wall’’ and waves at the camera. Then, Punk says he was the best ever since day one since he came to WWE, he claims he was villain filed because Paul Heyman saw something in him than no-one else wanted to admit. Then he says that ‘’yes, I’m a Paul Heyman guy’’ and says Brock Lesnor was a Paul Heyman guy, but the difference between him and Lesnor is that Punk claims he will be splitting from WWE with the WWE title. Punk continued to ramble on and says that he has grabbed so many of Vince’s imaginary braced rings that it just dawned on him that they are completely imaginary.  Punk then says that he has been the best in WWE since he made his debut six years ago and nobody can touch him whether he is on the microphone, on commentary or in the ring and complains that it’s unfair that he is not on covers of magazines, on programs, on Jimmy Fallon etc. Punk then states it makes him sick that Dwayne is apart of the Main event for Wrestlemaina next year. Then, as the crowd is cheering Punk because of the awesome job he is doing in that promo, Punk says that they are the biggest reason why he is leaving, ‘Because they are the ones who are buying everything which Punk is not on. Then Punk grasps with the microphone in his hand that he is sick of fans coming up to him when he is in the airport for him to sign the programme cover that he isn’t on.  Then, surprisingly Punk mentions other wrestling promotions like New Japan pro wrestling and ROH and claims after July 17th at Money in the Bank that he would be taking the WWE Championship to another company. Then, waves at the camera and says ‘’Hey Colt Cabana, how you doing!?’’. Then Punk states that he knows the wheel of WWE will keep turning, as he is just a spoke on the wheel. Punk says Vince will make money despite himself. Punk calls Vince a millionaire who should be a billionaire but he’s not because he surrounds himself with people like John Laurinaitis. Punk says WWE could be better once Vince is dead but it will be ran by his idiotic daughter Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. Punk then rambles on until his microphone is cut off.

When I watched this promo that he did, I was shocked. I was shocked especially when he mentioned Colt Cobana and NJPW and ROH. Punk had the balls to mention other wrestling promotions live on WWE programming, that is something that has never been done and something that will I’m pretty sure will never happen again. Also, what he did was speak his mind and the truth, he made millions of attitude era fans happy and did a great thing for a small Indy wrestler (who in my opinion, should actually be in WWE, he is amazing) Colt Cabana as he was trending on twitter that night, Punk simply mentioned Cabana’s name and it has got Cabana a lot of recognition. I thought how will WWE respond to this? How will this continue?

WWE ‘’suspended’’ Punk, so on Raw the following week Cena came out and made a promo saying that it was wrong to strip CM Punk of the title match and to suspend him, he was just speaking his mind…..he earned that match and deserves to have it just because it didn’t set well with Vince. Cena said all this because he is (was) the WWE Champion and he has a right to let his voice be heard. In his promo, Cena also mentioned that he is aware Raw is a PG show and says he doesn’t agree that it was right what Punk said but finds nothing wrong about it. Cena questioned to Vince by asking where does the WWE stop!?  He mentioned that Daniel Bryan was fired for being too aggressive and said that fans signs are being confiscated. He said that Punk was merely suspended for speaking his mind. Cena continued to ramble on by asking what would happen to him if he stepped out of line…Cena was looking for answers and he wants answers from the chairman himself; Vince McMahon. Then Cena said he wants to face Punk at MITB and wants an explanation from Vince in the ring. Throughout the show, Vince was being hyped up to arrive in his limo. So, to finish out the show…Vince came our and cut a promo. Vince thanked the fans, said that if the fans were in his position that they would suspend him to, he was just doing what is right for the fans. Vince called Punk a ‘Punk’ because he wanted first class plain tickets, limo services and he was not worthy of being on souvenir cups. Cena’s music hit and marched to the ring. Cena asked Vince if that was it, you kicked him to the curb. Vince replied, he deserved to be kicked to the curb. Cena said all Punk did was speak his mind. Cena asked if McMahon believed in free speech and McMahon said that was why Cena’s mic was still working. Cena said that McMahon was a fighter who took down Turner and asked what happened to the fighter. He asked if the grapefruits were peach pits. Cena said he still wants to fight and if McMahon does not feel like fighting, he should hang it up. McMahon looked upset and said he really suspended Punk because he does not want to take a chance on Cena. McMahon said that this risk was not worth taking. He said he would not be embarrassed by Punk walking into another organization with the title. Cena said he will not guarantee that he will beat Punk, but the match still needs to happen. He said that as a fan, this is the most exciting match of the year. He said this match has a lot of questions and is the match of the year. Cena asked if he would be suspended if he said something McMahon didn’t like. McMahon told Cena not to be Hogan and told him not to do this in front of the people. Cena said he should give the people what they want. McMahon said he didn’t want to give the people what they want and that it is his company. He said many came before Cena and many will come after. Cena held the title belt in his hand and told Vince that it is his company. He said that if this is how he wants to run it, it isn’t what Cena signed up for. Cena said he know he is replaceable. He said he busts his ass because he wants to think that the title means something. If Punk can’t face him when he earned to right to, then the title is already meaningless. Cena then handed to title to Vince and left the ring. McMahon called Cena an ingrate and yelled at him. He asked him to stop as he reached the top of the ramp. Vince handed Cena the title and said he hates that this has come between them. Vince reinstated Punk and told Cena he has the match. Vince told Cena not to smile and said that if Punk walks out of Chicago with the WWE Championship, then he will walk down the aisle say “John Cena, you’re fired.”

This promo was exactly as great as I expected. From what we’re watching as fans, I think I can safely say it’s a proud last few weeks to be a wrestling fan. We’re seeing passion and a lot of effort that was put into this storyline. Also what I absolutely LOVE about these promo’s is that it’s straight to the point. It’s keeping people interested. They make you look forward to the next show….as recently I certainly found Raw to be a bore last few years but now their exciting again.

Following week on the July 11th edition of Raw.

Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up with the usual intro video but before it finishes we go live inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts as CM Punk’s music hits and out he comes with a megaphone in hand. Punk walks down and takes a headset from the ringside area. He puts it on and says something to the producer in the back. Punk takes a seat down in the ring with a normal mic and his megaphone beside him. Punk says he feels some recapping is in order. He says he was suspended by Vince McMahon last week and the crowd boo’s. Punk says he was suspended because the week before, he got into trouble for things he said. Punk recalls everything he said, as he said it in his promo, but says he didn’t get in trouble for those remarks. He got in trouble because he has the balls to say what nobody else does. Punk says WWE is filled with a parade of shameless ass kissers, in and out of the ring. Punk says he is re-instated, got his Championship match back and brought back-up in case they change cut his mic again – he says this into the megaphone. In his hand, it’s a pipebomb, he says. Punk says Vince finally sees him for what he is – the hottest in the business today. The crowd cheers this. Punk says Vince sees this way because Punk did what Vince and his suits couldn’t do – make WWE socially relevant. Punk says he’s talking about the real world, not the fans. Punk says WWE only gets a mention in the real world two ways – he speaks his mind or someone dies. The crowd doesn’t like this. Punk says ESPN and Kimmel are ringing his phone off the hook for a story. Punk thinks it’s funny that he has one foot out the door and now Vince finally wants to give him what he wants. Punk says he wouldn’t have five years of pent-up ammunition against Vince if he would have been this nice five years ago. Another massive CM Punk chant breaks out. Punk proposes that he and Vince have the first-ever live contract negotiation in the ring tonight. He names people like JBL, Triple H, Eddie Guerrero, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle and others he has defeated. Cena says everyone thought they could hang with him but they got disappointed. Cena doesn’t care about this and that. He says he’s coming toChicagoat Money in the Bank to whoop Punk’s ass. The crowd pops as they face off in the middle of the ring. The e-mail alert goes off to boo’s. At the end of the show. Vince comes out. He stops on the stage, walks back to the back and walks out again. Vince stops, goes back to the back and comes out one more time. Vince finally heads to the ring once the crowd gives him a loud applause. But wait. Vince tells Justin Roberts to shut up and goes behind the curtain one more time. Vince comes walking out again to a bigger pop and is now making his way to the ring.

Vince points to a Zack Ryder sign on the way to the ring and won’t shake Michael Cole’s hand. Vince greets John Cena’s father, who is sitting at ringside. Vince is all smiles as he finally steps through the ropes where a table and chairs is waiting. Vince says he won’t be joining the CM Punk Kiss My Ass Club tonight. Vince says contracts should not be negotiated in public but that’s what CM Punk wants. Vince calls Punk out to the ring and wonders what CM stands for. Vince says they got the Punk part right and out comes Punk to the ring.

Punk mocks Vince’s walk as he heads down. Vince extends his hand for a shake but Punk won’t take it. Vince takes a seat and says Punk’s attorneys have been through everything more than once. Punk won’t take a seat. Punk walks around the table and Vince. Punk figured Vince would come out here wearing a John Cena t-shirt and armband. Punk says he can tell now that Vince has no faith in Cena for this Sunday. Vince says his faith or lack of faith in Cena has no factor in this. Vince says he is doing this for the right reasons. Vince says he couldn’t live with himself if Punk walked out ofChicagowith the WWE Title, if somehow he won. Vince calls Punk by his real name, Phil. Punk says his lawyers looked over the contract and it wasn’t up to par. So he had them draw up a new one, which is right here. Punk has already signed it.

Punk says the new deal has a few perks Vince should know about. Vince says don’t push him. Provision #1 in Punk’s new contract is that he gets to push Vince, he says. Punk says he will kick Vince in the nuts and Vince will like it, smile and show him respect or he will shred the contract up and leave on Sunday with Vince’s WWE Title. Provision #1 is actually that Punk wants his own jet, he says. #2 is his face on everything – the Titantron, the turnbuckles, cups, posters, spoons, shoes, socks, everything, Punk says. Punk also wants the WWE ice cream bars brought back. The crowd pops at this. Punk tells Vince he just made him a million dollars in ice cream sales. Punk wants WWE Studios to start producing CM Punk: The Movie. He says call it The Chaperone 2 but his will be funny and successful. Punk also wants the main event at WrestleMania 28. He says Vince can keep The Rock vs. John Cena but he wants the main event. The last thing the contract says is that Vince apologize to him for suspending him last week. Punk says really Vince is apologizing to the fans for being one of the biggest hypocrites he’s ever seen. Punk brings up WWE’s anti-bullying campaign and says Vince is one of the biggest bullies he’s ever seen. Punk wants Vince to apologize. A huge Punk chant breaks out from the crowd.

Punk says he has had friends who were fired from WWE for the wrong reason. Vince says they deserved it. Punk asks why? Because Vince doesn’t know what makes a star in 2011? Punk says Vince will apologize right now and will like it. Vince relaxes and tells Punk to be gentlemen and get this done. Vince mumbles he’s sorry but that’s not good enough for Punk. Vince calls Punk a son of a bitch and apologizes. Punk rubs it in. Punk poses with the fans and the WWE Title as Vince looks on from the ring. Punk is shown running through the concession area with Vince looking.

Now let me say this first….CM Punk has been doing a tremendous job in all this but John Cena has also worked extremely well in this and unfair for Punk to take all the credit. Don’t get me wrong, I know Punk did an awesome job in this. I don’t know how to express myself in saying how much quality was in this match. Defiantly a five star match. People are saying Punk made Cena look good, what do you think? I think both deserve full credit for how well this match was worked and booked. The Lets go Cena chats never really took off, as the Cena sucks chanted proved too powerful for the kids. My moment of the match was when McMahon and John Laurinaitis came down the ramp, and tried to screw Punk but Cena quickly sliced out of the ring to stop John Laurinaitis from playing a part in this match, then for Cena to only walk into a Go to Sleep by CM Punk, was a great ending and I didn’t think it would happen that way. Then, what we expected to happen once we saw the ending of the match, Alberto Del Rio was ordered by Vince to come rushing down to the ring, but Del Rio was quickly stopped by Punk and Punk walked out and through the crowd posing at the top of a staircases then walked out to where the concession stands are at. But Punk still remains the WWE Champion as the bell never rang for Del Rio.

I can’t describe how great this PPV really was. It was phenomenal, epic, awesome, great, exciting and glorious. The whole card was booked successfully and I can’t actually complain apart from Diva’s match but I don’t care about Diva’s because the rest of the show was action packed, dramatic and just superior than any other recent PPV. As I said, it had a Wrestlemaina vibe feeling to it. It was worth the money and if you didn’t order it or watch, I recommend 100% you do, watch this awesome PPV in good high quality. It was hands down one of the greatest PPV’s of all times.

The July 18th edition of Raw.

Cena tells Punk, if he’s watching, that they had a helluva match last night. Cena says Vince wanted the match thrown out last night and he doesn’t do business like that. Cena says that is no threat, it’s a promise. Cena says he won’t kiss Vince’s ass and goes to walk off. Vince stops him and says Cena won’t deny him what he’s about to do. Vince says he doesn’t want to do this but…. Triple H’s music hits and out he comes to a massive pop.

Triple H hits the ring in a suit and says some things in private to Vince. Vince gets a microphone and introduces Triple H as one of the all-time greats and his son-in-law. The crowd pops. Triple H says he got here as fast as he could and says there was a board of directors meeting this morning. Triple H says he received a call this morning to fly back to headquarters for the meeting. The Board asked Triple H to come talk to Vince because they’re concerned about the current situation.

Triple H asks Vince if they can talk about this in the back. He says the board is more concerned about Vince. He says it’s a given that Vince created WWE but the board is concerned about Vince’s decisions as of late. The board has filed an injunction against Vince with a vote of no confidence, Triple H reveals. Triple H says the McMahon family agrees with the injunction. On top of that, the board has appointed someone to takeover the day to day operations of WWE. That person is Triple H. The crowd pops at this news and Vince looks like yeah right.

Triple H says Vince isn’t going to fire John Cena and he’s not going to be doing anything else. Triple H says Vince taught him since day one that nobody is bigger than this business, nobody. Triple H says this is just business and can’t believe he’s saying this. Triple H is here to inform Vince that he is relieved of his duties. The crowd cheers.

Vince starts crying as the crowd sings goodbye to him. Triple H looks like he might get emotional also as he keeps his head down. Triple H says he’s trying to do what’s right for the business and tells Vince to look at him. Triple H says, I love you pop and I’m sorry. Triple H drop the mic and exits the ring while Vince cries his eyes out. The crowd finally claps for Vince as he just stands there in the ring. This show ends as ”Thank you Vince” chants are chanted.

This is the most entertaining storyline in years. I just can’t wait to see what happens next. It’s smart, creative, interested, powerful, entertaining…you name it its got it. Glad they brought Triple H into this, it was a really creative idea.

Apologies if this column is all over the place or whatever, i had to rush through this to finish it in time. I had a busy week so thats what i could put together, thanks!
