For the first time ever, I’m typing this as I watch it. Smackdown starts off with the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) Triple H, coming out to the ring. He talks about the working his way from the top to the bottom, meaning the World Heavyweight and WWE Champions. He says that the WWE Championship picture is a little more complicated, which leads him to the World Championship here on Smackdown. Christian then comes out to the ring. Christian, as the World Heavyweight Champion, Face of Smackdown and the leader of the brand, wanted to congratulate Triple H on his new position as the COO. Well Said Christian! Christian says he’s happy that Triple H is in charge because Teddy Long is an incompetent GM and sucks up to Randy Orton, and worse still, Sucking up to these loser ingrate fans, right here in Philadelphia. Christian says Triple H should want a close working relationship with him. Hunter says he doesn’t. While Vince has the patience of a saint (Wink Wink), Hunter doesn’t. He says interrupting him is a slap in the face and that Christian should have known Triple H long enough to know that he will slap him back. And Triple H says he can slap a lot harder then he can. Triple H says Randy orton is going to get his rematch at Summerslam in a No DQ match. It’s Christian vs Randy Orton in a No Holds Barred match. Out comes R-Truth with his 2 invisible friends. He talks about some conspiracy against him. Triple H puts him in a match with Randy Orton. Christian says if Truth needs advice, then to ask him as Orton has never beaten him in a fair match. Triple H says Christian has a match with John Morrison…and it’s next!

Backstage, Triple H is with Teddy Long and Zack Ryder. Zack Ryder says he has an idea. Triple H says he has one too. He’s now Teddy Long’s assistant. I’m fine with this. Zack should be on TV more, but as a Wrestler, not an assistant. But an assistant is better than nothing, right? Woo Woo Woo You Know It, Brother. That’s the right catchphrase, right guys?

World Heavyweight Champion Christian d. John Morrison.

Very impressed with this match. Morrison did a great job, considering he’s been out for a few months. I knew Christian was winning, though. The Champ is on a roll. I pick Christian over Orton to retain the WHC at SummerSlam. I hope John Morrison gets drafted to Smackdown next year. I’d love a Christian/JoMo feud.

Wade Barrett is in the ring. He cuts a promo on Daniel Bryan, saying that he’s carrying what should have been his. Daniel Bryan comes out to the ring. He says that Wade’s buddy Heath Slater said almost the exact same thing. Wade says he was the one that moulded all of the rookies from NXT season 1 and revolutionized Monday Night Raw. He says that Wade headlined PPV’s in 2010 but Daniel won MITB, and at WM28, he’ll Main Event Wrestlemania. Not happening. It would be nice to see, but Rock/Cena is the obvious Main Event. Barrett beats him down. Bryan gets the Le Bell Lock locked in and Wade taps out within seconds. What a pussy, Barrett is. Number 1 Bareknuckle fighter my ass.

Zack Ryder is backstage with T-Lo. Mark Henry comes in asks if he took care of the thing he asked of him. He meant did he find an opponent. T-Lo says after what he did to Kane and Big Show, nobody wants to face him. Ryder says he’ll find an opponent. I’m being serious, bro. Ryder is awesome.

Tamina, Alicia Fox and Rosa Mendes d. Team Sexy…I mean, Natalya, AJ and Kaitlyn.

The match was Crap. Why isn’t Natalya Divas Champion? She’s the best Diva in WWE right now. Stop jobbing her and her teammates to less talented divas. AJ is good, though. She’s so cute! I see potential in AJ. Natalya should turn heel and fued with AJ. That could be interesting. It would be good for AJ. Might bring her out of her shell a bit more. Anyway, Alicia got the pin on AJ, after a rather badly executed scissors kick.

Mark Henry d. Bobby Howard (Local Jobber) w/ Zack Ryder.

I don’t think I need to describe what happened in this match. I think you can all guess who won this. Moving on.

Mark is about to crush the jobbers leg when T-Lo comes out. He says nobody wants to face him. Sheamus comes out to a big pop and says he’ll fight him. The face turn has begun. He tells a story about one of the High Kings of Ireland and how he had an illegitimate son. (Just so everyone knows, I am also a descendant of the High Kings of Ireland. Sheamus may be a relative of mine, haha. Doubt it, though.) Loud Sheamus chants fill out the arena. Sheamus slaps him in the mouth. Henry runs at him but Sheamus sends him over the ropes. Sheamus keeps Henry out of the ring with a chair. Henry walks to the back as Sheamus sits on the chair, and soaks in the ovation.

I love this Sheamus Face turn. It’s refreshing. I’m assuming Sheamus will face Mark Henry at SummerSlam. I also expect Mark Henry to win. He looks like the toughest guy in WWE right now. Let’s wait and see what happens.

WWE Tag Team Champions David Orunga and Michael McGillicutty d. The Uso’s.

Anyone else think that Otunga and MM look like a gangster team now? It was a bad tag team match that ended with MM hitting the McGillicutter on one of the Uso’s. The Uso’s do impress me, however. Hope they become Tag Champs and get a decent push soon.

Matt Striker interviewed R- Truth backstage. I have no clue what he was on about, but he says Orton is gonna get GOT!

Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase d. Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson.

Match didn’t last too long. Rhodes and DiBiase picked up the win after Cody hits CrossRhodes. I’m assuming Cody will be the next Intercontinental Champion. Let’s hope so. Jackson is bad. I apoligize if you’re a Jackson fan, but he isn’t good. I actually think it would work better with Ted as IC Champion and Cody as World Heavyweight Champion. That’s just me, though.

Jinder Mahal and The Great Khali cut a promo in their own language. Philadelphia, if there was ever an appropriate time: What?

R-Truth d. Randy Orton via DQ.

It was good for what it was. Actually, it was better than I expected. Match came to an end when Orton used a chair on Truth, after Truth hit Orton in the face with a water bottle. The World Heavyweight Champion was looking on from the stage. Orton the hit Truth with the monitor from the announce table, then hit 2 RKO’s as Christian looked on, worried, as Smackdown goes off the air.

I still think that Christian will retain the title. He should hold it until at least the Royal Rumble. He deserves a decent reign. Sheamus’ face turn is also looking to be a good thing. Fans are buying into it and already getting behind him. I look forward to next week’s Smackdown. Smackdown was, overall, pretty good this week.
