By now, i’m sure most of you reading this would of seen or at least heard about ESPN’s E60 profile on Scott Hall. I just decided I would give my thoughts on this and hopefully have some discussion going. I don’t think there is a need to introduce Scott Hall so we’ll juts talk about the video itself. Here it is:
I must say I am intrigued that ESPN did a piece about him. I found this very interesting, though, so I can’t complain. There is some cold blooded stuff in there like when Sean Waltman said he was prepared from Hall’s death, damn that is just cold to hear, a shiver went down my spine! I find it just so sad that Hall himself along with Nash changed the wrestling business forever in the 90’s and to look at him now, how he is struggling with his life looking at the dozens of pills he has to take daily, how his family broke up, okay he reunited with his son but overall, it’s just sad how things turned out for him. I don’t have much more to say other than it’s heartbreaking to watch, I hope he can control his demons but it just looks like he has given up on his life and that it is only a matter of time before he dies. That is a little emotional to write but that’s how it is.
What do the rest of ya’ll think?

This is just a short thoughts column, nothing special. I got a new series coming up and might call it ”Wrestling fiction” or something like that.
Scott Hall was a great wrestler. I became a fan of wrestling in 1998, and I remember seeing N.W.O. and remember them “taking over” WCW. Scott was one of, if not the best, most entertaining member of the group. It’s so unfortunate how his life has turned out as of lately. He needs to get all the help he can get.

The thingy got got for some reason so I’ll need to post here
I agree with what you said, Razor will always stand out as one of my favorite 90s wrestlers and I still enjoy watching his early work, anything after WMX8 is not worth watching but yes Hall is indeed a legend

It got got?? Awesome 😛
Yep agreed too. It is just so sad how life turned out for him. If he died tomorrow, it would not be a shock, sadly it could be a matter of minutes, which is the sad thing about it.

He may die soon, but the memories will last forever! Long live Scott Hall!!!

No doubt his memories will live forever! It’s hard to see him like that at that show he was at, the promoter there was a prick, Hall was in no condition to go out there but the promoter just cared about money!

Well, you can’t really blame the promoter. Indy promotions run on a tight budget to begin with, and Hall asked for money upfront, then demanded more. If I remember the story correctly, he spent all or most of that, only to show up in the state he did, wanting more money to appear, which he insisted on doing.

To be honest, Scott Hall seemed healthier than I was expecting. I liked seeing that he was healthy enough and clean enough to be able to talk with ESPN. He seemed to be speaking clearly and fine. Hall didn’t really look sick and it was nice to see that he is trying to be his son’s wrestling mentor. He seems to be on the right track now. I was afraid ESPN would be trying to make Hall look like he is close to death but they made it seem like he’s on the road to recovery. It was nice to see that Scott Hall is a normal person outside of the ring when he’s not drunk and on drugs. But I never knew he shot a guy in the head! That shocked me!
Really good feature on Scott Hall…a lot more interesting than the feature that the WWE did for him on the Greatest Stars of the 90s DVD. ESPN was right…Scott Hall is the real version of “The Wrestler”…but Shane Douglas might be a better fit if Shane Douglas was a former WWE Legend. I mention the former ECW star because I read he works at Target now.

I know they made him look like he was close to death to make it more effective to viewers, but their is too much drugs in his body, and honestly, I doubt he can go on much longer. He may be on the road to recovery, but how long will it last?

He’s only 53 or 54 so if he stays clean now, he can live at least 15 more years. But he could just drop dead one day just like Eddie Guerrero died while brushing his teeth.

I predict he’ll pass in 2013, keeping up the two year death trend.

I don’t think his heart will be able to keep up with him, I hope he does’t die anytime soon anyway.

He might turn out like one of those guys who drinks, smokes, and does drugs, but lives until they’re into their 90’s. Body chemistry came make a big difference.

Yea, he could be, only time will tell.

All I can say is that I hope Scott Hall gets better, but I think he will actually end up doing something great to make him proud. He will be the one to put a stop to drug use in the wrestling business at least, I think he’ll be able to make himself proud about that. That’s what he doesn’t realize, is that now this is a sign of drug use ending at least in the business. He will have a bright future and I refuse to say he will die soon, Scott will fight through this. Guys like Matt and Jeff Hardy will look up to Scott Hall and realize they cant let this happen to them, or at least I hope they see that.
Great job in supporting him, Ray. Love the article and thanks for acknowledging his situation and letting people know that he needs our help.

Yea, I agree and thanks!
It would be cool if guys like Matt and Jeff can follow in his footpath if he does indeed get better, I just wonder why Matt and Jeff get a lot of hate when Hall doesn’t, I suppose different era and all makes a different.
