Personal Life
He has talked about growing up in poverty with an abusive and alcoholic father. He went college in Anderson, South Carolina, on a partial wrestling scholarship after graduating from Johnson High School in Gainesville, Georgia, class of 1996. He is married with 3 sons. And has gotten a tattoo down the right side his body that reads AJ 05-03-05 02-14-07 09-15-09 and represents the initials and birth dates of his three children. He is a Christian. He states that in his life, “It’s God first and family second.”
How he has impressed me throughout his career…
He has helped shape TNA. He in my opinion helped make not Jeff Hardy. And TNA seems to realize and respect that. He is a great highflyer. It seems like he is just a natural when it comes to wrestling. Phenomenal really is the perfect word to describe him. TNA saw what they had and took advantage of it. It wouldn’t matter where he goes. He is just all around entertaining.
I remember Air Raid. Shocking I know hahaha. They were pretty good. I’m sure if WCW lasted longer, they would’ve been used more, I think.

If Impact goes under and WWE buys them out, he’s one of the guys I can see going into the HOF after he retires.

I hope TNA does something to piss him off greatly so he accepts an offer from WWE.

Good work, Emma. Nice pick.
I disagree James, he’s one of TNA’s only ‘original’ interesting wrestlers. So TNA would suck worse without him, lol.

haha I know, but I’m being greedy and want him in WWE. I feel TNA has farted him around the last 2 years and made him almost unknown. Him and Joe were running TNA before this whole Hogan shit.

Would love to see him come to WWE and begin a feud with Evan Bourne! That would be cool!
His rib tattoos are fucking awesome! So cool.

@Violentshadows-I doubt that will happen
@Ray-Thanks i figured i ought to start with a TNA original
@ry3694-Well if WWE gets rid of Evan TNA may consider taking him agian and using him now that they see what he is caplable of so we could see Bourne vs. Styles

Bourne vs Styles would be amazing, they’ve wrestled in ROH but not many have seen it, including me.

I want Vader in his prime vs. Cena. Between Vader doing the moonsault off the top rope to Cena doing the F.U. on Vader, it would be a sight to behold.

I love AJ Styles, but I’m not sure he’d thrive in the WWE either, he’s better off in TNA (A TNA without Hogan and Bischoff destroying it) Hogan and Bischoff are the main reasons I stopped watching it altogether, It’s terrible.

Aww I remember getting my Mum to get SKy TV just so I could get The Wrestling Channel so I could watch AJ on TNA. How times have changed.

If TNA could go back to what it was with originals like AJ Styles they would be better than WWE right now
