If you don’t see Chris Jericho on tonight’s Raw, that’s because he’s currently suspended over an incident that occurred during a WWE House Show in Brazil (for those of us that didn’t know). This week is another Y2J edition of Remember When.
Do you remember when Mr. Hughes was Chris Jericho’s bodyguard?
In case you haven’t heard of or don’t know Mr. Hughes, come along with and I’ll try to fill you in. Mr. Hughes was a Wrestler best know as being a bodyguard for heels such as Harvey Whippleman, Shane Douglas, Lex Luger, and Triple H. One of the last well known (or lack thereof) stints in WWE by Hughes was in the fall of 1999 where he became Jericho’s muscle.
This was Jericho’s first year in the company and he was feuding with Ken Shamrock at the time. I guess they wanted someone that will get more heat on Jericho but to be perfectly honest, Jericho didn’t need more heat in my opinion. These two started to do tag team matches together and unsuccessfully walk out with a win. Hughes’ last stint with WWE wasn’t a long one as he would be gone within a month or so. There really is not much to say about this. Nothing special ever came from Mr. Hughes’ return.
Thank you guys so much for reading. Don’t forget to leave your comments. Feel free to comment on the Jericho incident in Brazil and we will see you next week.
Here’s a look at Chris Jericho and Mr. Hughes in tag team action
God! Mr. Hughes takes me back. I remember him in the old AWA.

Good times 😀
I understand it from both POVs. Jericho was entertaining and the Brazilian police just followed their countries rules.
As a wrestling fan, I think the arrest was silly.
