“The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry has been off TV for a while. The last time we saw him, he was inducting WWE superstars into the hall of pain. Then there were reports of him being injured. Well we recently received some news about a potential return…
Wrestling News Source reports,
“The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE Superstar Mark Henry is currently slated to return to the company in late fall following his recovery from shoulder surgery.
The website also reports that Henry has been quoted as saying that if his shoulder doesn’t recover fully, he will retire from professional wrestling; however, Henry is expecting to make a return to the ring.”
Seth’s Opinion
Mark Henry has had an up and down career in the WWE. He was one of the top heels in WWE not that long ago (2011), but he is also one of the longest tenured superstars in WWE. I think his time is over and he should consider doing other things whether in the wrestling business or not. His health has been an issue as of late and he needs to give his body some rest. He reached the top of WWE and he should be happy with what he has accomplished.
What do you think? Should Henry return or retire?

I think he should retire. There’s nothing more for him to accomplish. He’s already been World Champion.

Retire. He’s at best mediocre in the ring. He’s been a loyal servant to the company though, and I’ll respect him for that. However, his time’s been and gone. Best of luck with your future endeavors.

I don’t think Henry should retire just yet. His last run was probably the best of his career and he could still help out with young talent.

I respect your opinion Ray, but why should he take up time for the young WWE heels. With Wade Barrett coming back as a top heel, who is there to feud with Henry?

Well what harm is it to have him there? Young heels aren’t going to just ”get over”. Barrett is different because he’s been around for a while. Someone like Dean Ambrose would benefit a small feud with Henry.

Good point. However, Ambrose looks like he is going to a top heel in the future so would Henry be the face? Because he did better as a heel. How about Ted Dibiase jr, brodus clay, ryback, tyson kidd or zack ryder who are faces that could use a push or real feud?

Mark talked about having “plans” for HHH after his match with Brock. I say they form a tag team called “The Hall of Game”.

I’m thinking to myself if that is a good joke or not! haha

Oh, it’s not a joke. That just seemed like the type of thing the WWE might call them, combining two names or parts of a gimmick.(Jeri-Show, Show-Miz, Rated RKO, etc.)
