Beth Phoenix is a former WWE Women’s Champion and Divas Champion. She will always be remembered as one of the great WWE divas of all time. However, there have been many reports regarding her possibly leaving WWE.

According to Wrestlenewz.com,

“According to a report by Raj Giri of WrestlingInc.com, Beth Phoenix will finish up with WWE in October.

Since her time in WWE, Phoenix has captured the Women’s Championship three times, as well as the WWE Diva’s Championship.

Earlier this year, Phoenix was in route to displacing Maryse Ouellet as the longest reigning Divas Champion in history, however lost the belt a week before she could break the record to Nikki Bella on the April 23rd episode of Raw.”

Seth’s Opinion

It is unfortunate news to hear that Beth Phoenix will be leaving, but it makes sense. She took some time off not too long ago for personal reasons. Beth was a top diva in the WWE for a long time, but I think they have enough divas without her. I know the Divas division doesn’t really matter these days, but with Eve as the new champion, perhaps it will matter. The top divas right now in my opinion are Eve, AJ, Vickie Guerrero and Natalya. AJ is the only face in the group and she doesn’t wrestle. Beth Phoenix was a heel for most of her career and I would never want to see her as face. Beth had a great run and can join Trish Stratus and Lita as long time great Divas who is choosing to leave and retire.

What do you think? Is Beth Phoenix making the right decision?
