The online wrestling community were saddened to hear about the death of yet another former wrestler, Brad Armstrong, who died at the age of 51.
WWE broke the news with the following via their website:
WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of Brad Armstrong, 51, one of four sons of “Bullet” Bob Armstrong. Brad Armstrong last participated in the ring for the ECW brand in 2006. WWE understands that Brad saw his physician last week for a medical issue and was found unresponsive this morning. WWE extends its sincerest condolences to the entire Armstrong family.
Ray’s opinion
Well it sucks another legend has died. Sadly it’s becoming a monthly thing. Armstrong was very underrated in WCW in my opinion, then again many wrestlers were. Before the 2000’s wrestler’s lifestyles were much worse than they are today. Wrestling Rambles would like to send our condolences to Scott (current WWE referee) and the Armstrong family.
The man had great talent. Say what you want about Arachnaman, Baddstreet, Buzzkill, and the Armstrong Curse thing, but the man behind those gimmicks was a talented worker. RIP Brad Armstrong, You will be missed.

Yep, you put that very well. I read that Russo came up with some of his gimmicks. Not sure if it’s true though.

Ray, was the warning anout “hotlinking” concerning the link I put for Armstrong’s death? If that was it, I’m sorry.

I’m not sure what you mean? I didn’t see any warning.

Instead of the “now” photo of Armstrong, it was a warning not to “hotlink”; that it ate up bandspace. I didn’t know if that was about my original link concerning the death.

Brad Armstrong was a great worker and superb wrestler. Underrated and mis-used. Much better than several stiff and undeserved wrestlers who Dusty Rhodes pushed in NWA.

I did ring announcing for Continental Championship Wrestling back in the 80s and had the great pleasure of working with Brad, Steve, Scott, and Bob. There’s not a better family in the business. Condolences to the family.
