Perhaps the IWC’s most spurned ‘wrestler’, Hulk Hogan was recently interviewed by the UK’s Guardian website as part of a “Celebrity Christmas Wish Lists” feature. Here’s what’s on Hogan’s wish list, including some interesting comments about wanting to not only wrestle again – but to also be TNA World champion:
Thirty years of life: I want my youth back. I wouldn’t change anything, though. I’d wrestle all over again. The same matches.
747 jet – I would like my own private jet plane again. I’d take all the wrestlers with me on the plane. I don’t just want a little Learjet, I want a 747. That would be a wild plane.
Knee surgery – I’ve had eight back surgeries, I’ve had knee replacements, I’ve had both hip replacements. I only need one more surgery – to fix my right knee – then I’m going to go for the TNA world title. I want to be 59 years old and be the champion.
Hair – I want a full head of hair.
Now it’s no secret that I’m not the biggest fan of Hulk Hogan and I’m not your typical ”Let’s all hate Hogan” kind of guy. I do respect what he’s done for the wrestling business back in the 80’s. I don’t think he deserves the amount of credit he receives because there’s guys like Lou Thesz, Gorgeous George and even Stone Cold who deserve just as much, or even more credit for the popularity wrestling has risen to over the last hundred years. The problem with Hulk Hogan is that he has a big ego. The guy keeps saying TNA is ”on the up” and it’s changing and progressing all the time, but it’s not! Nothing ‘that good’ has changed since he took over. The product isn’t that much better. It has improved a little bit but that’s down to Dave Lagana in my opinion. The ratings have gone down since his arrival. He debuted January 4th, 2010, the rating for that show was 1.4…now the ratings barely make it past the 1.0 mark. He’s frequently featured on TV and at the center of storylines. It would be much better for TNA to push up and coming talent, or give someone like James Storm, Bobby Roode more time on TV! Now he wants to be TNA world champion?? For the love of god brother, please just stay away from the TNA world title and get off my TV screen. Hogan also claims ”Impact Wrestling is his home” and he wants to help the company grow, I have no doubt you can help but having your massive ego wasting VALUABLE on-screen time is NOT the way to go…brother. I’m sorry but the day you become TNA world champion is the day I stop watching Impact Wrestling. I’m not the only one who feels this. Let me know how you feel!
