Thanks to our affiliates over at http://wrestlechat.net/for the review. Joe will no longer be reviewing RAW, his Raw Opinion column lasted well over a year and is one of the longest running columns in our history. Thanks to Joe for his huge effort in his reviews. Joe will continue to write for Wrestling Rambles soon. Thanks for reading and of course, let me know your opinion!
Decent RAW. That Cena/Punk match was phenomenal. One of the greatest ever Raw matches IMO. Their chemistry is just as good as HBK/Taker or Austin/Rock.
Triple H/Lesnar seems more interesting this time around, I am looking forward to next week to see what happens.
The most interesting thing regarding next week will be Punk IMO, will he go down the trying to defeat Undertaker road or is there something else planned?
The first segment was great and Cena v Punk was great. The rest was utter garbage.
About 4 years ago, I lowered my expectations watching WWE and TNA. I used to watch ROH all the time and I was never disappointed because ROH is a lot more wrestling focused so I was rarely let down, I always expected decent matches. With WWE and TNA, it’s mainstream so it it goes through that cycle, boom periods and ‘boring’ periods. So when I watch, the product doesn’t seem that bad to me because I expect them to fuck up. Even when I was on Twitter last couple days, I said I wasn’t expecting Taker to return on Raw last night when a lot of people were, those that did, were probably disappointed.
So what I’m saying is, lower your expectations 😛
That’s a far point but you would expect more from Wrestlemania season.
That main event was like sex in wrestling form!
Your comparison is quite weird but I get what you’re saying! Haha
It fits(no pun intended).
Vince is pissed off that Punk did the piledriver on Cena, lol. Fire them both and have Fandango v Rock as the Wrestlemania main event.
I’m with the masses, the beginning was great and the end of the show was awesome, the middle seemed like filler. A lot of stuff just didn’t seem to flow properly and the Del Rio/Swagger feud is just completely the wrong mix. A mexican wrestler standing up against a Real American for the Americans?
Fairplay that piledriver!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… 3 hours is too loooong.
Yeah you’re right about Swagger, it just doesn’t really make sense. Like what they are saying is right, it’s just how they’re saying is wrong. And because of that, it comes out wrong. Confusing, lol
It’s not confusing. It’s not immigrants taking jobs in the states. The jobs they do get are VERY low paying ones. The jobs are being shipped overseas(and paying very little as well) to maximize profits, leading millions to be out of work. 30 years ago, if a company made 5 percent profit, it was a good year. 10 percent would be fantastic. Now, if you make 10 percent profit, a bunch of people will lose benefits. Now, it has to be 15-20 percent. In fact, in the 2008 recession, all but 4(or 6) of the top 100 companies made money. Many are actually making record profits.
WWE are labeling their product as PG removing elements such as blood, weapons and more mature storylines so they can appeal to the younger audience.
Yet a storyline like is simply washing over younger viewers, in fact they probably don’t have clue what Dutch is dribbling about!
Yeah, it’s got to be hard to satisfy both sets of viewers.
