TMZ reports that former WWE Champion CM Punk has obtained a restraining order against his estranged mother. He claims that she constantly hits him up for money, and threatens to commit suicide if he doesn’t come through. He filed legal documents in Illinois, and claims he has tried to break off his relationship with his mother for more than a year “due to repeated financial demands and years of abusive, harassing and threatening behavior.”

Punk states he has made an effort to help his mother, who reportedly suffers from bipolar disorder, by giving her more than $100,000. He says her abusive/threatening behavior escalated, which caused him to decide to cut her off.

Punk’s mother ended up sending the former WWE Champion “You don’t give a s**t about us. You just care about your money and money hungry/fame hungry friends. You would sell us for a nickel.”

Punk also alleges his mother threatened to release potentially embarrassing information about his past. Punk had reportedly suggested that it had to do with some arrests when he was in high school.

The judge on the case granted the restraining order on June 10th. He is due back in court today, where the judge will decide whether the order will be extended.

Ray’s Opinion
From my understanding of CM Punk, he seems like a pretty cool guy and I’m sure he is not the person in the wrong here. I remember watching his DVD and he talked about the relationship he had with his mother. I never expected things to be taken this far but as we all know, anything can happen in life at anytime to any person. Nothing surprises me anymore with all the shit that has happened in the last 10 years.
