There were several speculations about Randy Orton’s heel turn, He was supposed to turn heel after WrestleMania 29 but didnt, then again there were chances of heel turn at WWE Payback but the process never took place. When Randy Orton won the Money In The Bank briefcase, it was now obvious that he will finally turn heel. The opportunity came on August 5 episode of RAW when RAW GM Brad Maddox announced a 6 man tag team match; Randy Orton, John Cena and Daniel Bryan vs The Shield. This match was considered as normal but chances of Heel turn were inevitable. he RKO’d both Bryan and Cena and attempted to cash
in the contract, only to be put off by The Shield returning to attack Cena and Bryan. This was a right time to push Randy Orton as he is also Mr.MITB. As he will try to cash the briefcase in his heel persona, the more boos he will get by the fans.
Wouldn’t be shocked to see him getting cheers from smarky fans.

Now the WWE Universe will boo Randy Orton and will show him thumbs down signs! WWE Universe dont have permanent taste, When Alberto Del Rio was face, people were cheering him and now they are booing him. Anyways i am so much happy that Randy Orton is getting a push. His face persona wasnt so much good. He has quality then when he is face, so he adopt this babyface so much that we cant imagine and when it comes heel turn then he shows how much “Rascal”( Kidding) he is 😀

Randy Orton didn’t turn heel on Raw. He RKO’d Bryan and Cena, but Michael Cole made sure to sell it as smart opportunity taken by Randy, rather than Randy going against his morals.
It was a tweener move of sorts. If anything it was just the seeds being planted for his eventual heel turn.

Yeah, very tweener-ish. 15-20 years ago, it would’ve been a heel turn.

We will see what will be up next on RAW next week. He is mr.MITB, Both Cena and Bryan are babyface so it will too much unusual to let a babyface Randy cash-in his briefcase either on face Cena or face Bryan at SummerSlam. i am not sure that wether he will cash-in at Summerslam or at other PPV event. WWE wants to sell his heel turn for good ppv buys.

Yes but him wanting to be champion by beating a face does not make him a heel. It just makes him hungry for glory. Until a wrestler goes against their morals…they aren’t really doing anything wrong. Just because the current champion is a babyface does not mean the potential challenger has to be heel. Your last point is debatable. They already have Lesnar/Ryback/Del Rio as top heels, I’m not sure Orton needs to turn heel.

Not a heel turn, but like Eddie said, the seeds for a heel turn were definitely planted and I say the official turn will happen before the end of the month. I’m looking forward to it because I loved heel Orton and Orton has said he would rather be a heel.

Yeah, “seeds” would be correct.

Ryback was good as a babyface, He is now ruined. Dolph, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk are latest as babyface. so to keep the roster balanced, The writers need to turn Randy heel. Remember, when at WWE Payback there was a double turn to keep it balance and so there are three new “face” in the active roster. Ok if i agree that this was just a planted seed so when he will actually turn heel? On Monday Night, it was a best chance.
